Rogerio
Costa Pereira is an independent management consultant with proven experience in
the application of planning methodologies to business management, information
technology strategies, business process re-engineering, change management
(human factors), project management, and marketing.
Typical
clients are companies which deal with a changing business environment and
increasing competition. Projects will develop an action plan with concrete
initiatives to increase competitiveness and improve company's results. Project
scope may include the effective implementation of recommended initiatives.
He has been
personally involved in business strategy studies in Brazil and abroad for
clients such as Brazilian financial groups, an oil company in Venezuela, an international
pharmaceutical company, a leading multinational chemical conglomerate, a
Brazilian auditing firm, an international consumer goods company, a major
Brazilian automaker, and a data collection systems & solutions provider.
Before
establishing his own consulting firm, he was part of the team
that established the IBM Consulting Group in
Years
before he pioneered the application of advanced information systems planning
methodologies in IBM Brasil, such as BSP -
Business Systems Planning.
He was
responsible for the development of the APX methodology for the
evaluation and planning of information systems (Avaliacao e Planejamento de Sistemas
de Informacao), which was adopted by IBM worldwide. He ran APX and BSP
studies for large and medium size companies, in industries such as
manufacturing, distribution, process, universities and banks.
Mr. Costa
Pereira held different positions in the marketing organization of IBM Brasil,
such as marketing operations manager for the Process Industry District, in Sao
Paulo, and branch office manager of two of the company's largest branches. He
also was account manager for major national and international accounts such as
General Motors, Embraer (Brazilian aircraft manufacturer), and Bunge (Brazilian
based international account). As manager of the Finance Large Accounts Branch
Office, he was in charge of large banks and financial companies. Similarly,
when he was manager of the Manufacturing Large Accounts Branch Office, he was
responsible for the largest manufacturing customers of IBM Brasil, which
included General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Caterpillar, Philips,
and the Villares Group.
He also
held staff positions at the IBM Brasil headquarters in

Perlingeiro, was awarded first prize in the First National Contest of Data
